The Sabbath The Seventh Day A day of Rest

Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.  Deuteronomy 5 verse 12

Six days thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD Thy God: in it thou not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
 Deuteronomy 5 verses 13 to 14

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God ended  His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.  Genesis 2 verses 1 to 3

Ye fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep My sabbaths: I Am The LORD your God.  Leviticus 19 verse 3

Six days work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye do no work : it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. Leviticus 23 verse 3

So the people rested on the seventh day. Exodus 16 verse 30

I Am The  LORD your God; walk in My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them
And hallow My Sabbaths ; and they  be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I Am The LORD Your God.
Ezekiel 20 verses 19 to 20

Wherefore the children of Israel  keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.  Exodus 31 verses 16 to 17

Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
Jeremiah 17 verses 21 to 22

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23 verse 56

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His  works.
And in this place again, If they enter into my rest.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Again, He limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.

For if Jesus Yahshayah had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the Eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.
Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus  Yahshayah the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4 verses  3 to 16

Psalm or Song for the Sabbath day.It is a good thing to Give Thanks unto The LORD, and To Sing Praises unto Thy Name O Most High
To shew forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night,
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
For Thou  LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of Thy Hands
O LORD, how great are Thy works! and Thy thoughts are very deep.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they be destroyed for ever:
But Thou LORD, art Most High for evermore.
For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine  enemies  perish; all the workers of iniquity be scattered.
But my horn Thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I be anointed with fresh oil.
Mine eye also see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
The righteous flourish like the palm tree: he grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the House of the LORD  flourish in the courts of our God.
They  still bring forth fruit in old age; they be fat and flourishing;
To shew that The LORD is Upright: He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
 Psalm 92
